The Wall Street Journal ran an article suggesting that Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal might be the Vice President on the ticket with Republican nominee John McCain. Dubbed the “Republican Obama” by some, Governor Jindal has been responsible for the restoration of Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina–and has done an admirable job.

As of Sunday night, according to the Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal, Obama is Poised to Claim Victory, no surprise there. But what is surprising to many, is that Sen. Clinton refuses to bow out of the Democratic race. With the Democrats’ decision to only count half of the votes in both Florida and Michigan, Sen. Clinton has a slim chance of securing the nomination. It is not numerically impossible for the New York Senator to win the nomination, but she would need to secure the pledges of the remaining superdelegates in addition to making strong showing in Montana and South Dakota where Sen. Obama is favored.

The Wall Street Journal ran an article today stating that Tuesday May Not End Democratic Fight. Illinois Senator Barack Obama has 1,982 delegates, Senator Hillary Clinton, a respectable 1,782, just 200 delegates shy. Under current Democratic party rules, Sen. Obama needs 44 more delegates to attain the magic number of 2,026 needed to earn the crown of Democratic presidential nominee.
